A landlord has been ordered to pay a £12,000 fine and £1,000 costs after his property in London was found to be breaching fire safety regulations. ![]()
Following complaints from neighbours regarding the living conditions of the property, an inspection was carried out by the environmental health officer.
The property, which was a house in multiple occupancy (HMO), had no mains Smoke Alarm System, was lacking Fire Doors and a poorly repaired kitchen window.
The landlord was served with an improvement notice however sufficient improvement were not made in the timescales set.
